No Change Of Government

KTM Metro Reporter

Kathmandu, June 3, 2016: Speaking at the two-day civil dialogue program held by National Human Rights and Social Justice Front (human rights alliance) in Kathmandu on June 2, 2016, Prime Minster KP Oli said that he was not going to quit the office at the behest of somebody; he had not made a three-point agreement with the CPN-Maoist-Center but he had a nine-point agreement which he would strictly follow, the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ stated on June 3, 2016. The local media reported that Prime Minister Oli had a three-point agreement with the Maoist to transfer the power to the Maoists after the parliament passed the budget.

His own colleague and former Prime Minster Madhav Nepal has said that a national consensus government is needed. Prime Minister’s party colleagues wanted to see him go but he was determined to stay on in office for some time to come.

Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party Narayanman Bijuckchhe has said that it is not time to change the government. Changing the government means giving a chance to the foreign forces to interfere in the Nepalese politics. He also has said that people don’t want the change of the government.

Nobody thinks it is logical to change the government not even a year of its formation. The fast transfer of the power from one party to another has been one of the main reasons why the development activities don’t move, as they need to. Each new government took six to seven months for initiating the development projects, a World Bank’s reported stated.
