Nepalis traveling to India carry IDs

Issue 50, December 14, 2008

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On Monday, December 08, 2008, Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised all Nepalese citizens traveling to India to carry identity papers such as passports, citizenship certificates or driving licenses with them, as the Government of India has enhanced the security checks to stop any terrorists’ attacks on the Indian soil. Anybody traveling to India needs to carry such a paper for traveling, staying in a hotel or admitting in a hospital.
