Widening Road From Koteswor to Bhaktapur

On Tuesday, December 02, 2008, Nepalese Minister for Physical Planning and Works and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal jointly initiated the work on widening the portion of Arniko Raj Marga from Koteswor to Bhaktapur.

The Government of Nepal is widening more than nine kilometers long road from the current two lanes to six lanes at the cost of more than Rs 20 billions with the cooperation of the Japanese Government. The widening of the road would be completed in 30 months. The six-lane road would be available for service in May 2011.
