Maoists Not for Forming Government

On October 5, 2009, speaking at the press conference held in Damak by the Revolutionary Reporters’ Association of Jhapa. Central Committee member of the United Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist CP Gajurel has said that the Maoists are not for forming a government based on the number of 301 in the current political context; they are for forming a national government based on the consensus politics according to the news published in the state-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of October 6, 2009.
Mr. Gajurel has also said that the leaders of Nepali Congress and Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist and Leninist have been engaged in making the current government a failure.
He has also said that leaders of the Nepali Congress and Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist and Leninist have not been agreeing on the consensus politics; despite the leaders holding the talks about ending the political deadlock, it won’t end the political stalemate.
He has also said that his party would continue blocking the business of the legislature and would continue the street movement until the demand for the people’s suzerainty is met.
