Indian ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee has said that the security forces of both India and Nepal have been put under alert to check possible criminal activities that can take place along the border during the Constituent Assembly election on April 10 according to the Nepalnews.com ag Mar 18 08. On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, talking to the reporters after laying the foundation stone of the Emergency and Maternity Ward of Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj, Saptari district, ambassador Mukherjee said that Indian authorities have been in constant touch with their Nepalese counterparts to step up vigilance in the border areas. In view of the criminal activities will increase in Nepal as the election draws near, India has adopted strong security measures to stop all activities that can adversely affect the election.
