Vaidya Speaks Out For People’s Revolt

Issue 38, September 19, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

September 14, 2010: speaking at the ‘Reporters’ Club’ in Kathmandu, one of the Vice-chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidya has said that leaders of other political parties have been indifferent to resolving the divergence of opinions on various issues concerning the peace process and constitution writing is the strategy of those that want to push the Maoists to revolt again reports ‘The Rising Nepal’ of September 14, 2010.

He has also blamed the CPN-UML for the failure to elect a new Prime Minister even after several rounds of elections, as it has remained neutral in the elections leading to the political uncertainty in the country.

Concerning the audiotape that discloses the Chief of Foreign Department of UCPN-Maoist Krishna Bahadur Mahara talking to a Chinese authority for the fund to buy votes in the election to a new Prime Minister, Mr. Vaidya has said that it is nothing but the last attempt of the domestic and foreign reactionaries on stopping the Maoists from winning the Prime Ministerial election, and has challenged everybody to prove it true.
