NC and CPN-UML Lawmakers Blocking House Session
By KTM Metro Reporter
October 18, 2011: NC and CPN-UML lawmakers have continued to block the House session demanding the resignation of the Home Minister as the punishment for his statement ‘What laws could prevent the 22 terai districts declaring independent?’. The Home Minister has already made clear that his statement is not with the intention of secession of the districts in question from the country. However, these irresponsible lawmakers have been blocking the House session going against the people’s aspirations for the peace and a new constitution. They surely are not for completing the peace process and a new constitution but for tearing down the government at any cost.
These lawmakers if they are sincere to the mandate the people have given them then they need to take a legal action against the Home Minister for his statement in question if they think it is an anti-national. They need to formulate a new law on punishing anybody making an anti-national statement but these most incompetent lawmakers have been simply following the orders of their selfish leaders. Nepalis would never forgive such lawmakers and their leaders.
