Calling Shutdowns, Criminals Terrorizing Nepalis

Issue 22, May 29, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 27, 2011: The so-called Janata party in the Kathmandu Valley and the Brahmin Samaj-Nepal in Chitwan and some less known so-called political parties in Far Wesern Nepal have criminalized themselves stopping the businesses of others forcibly and sending criminals to burn vehicles on the streets and damage any stores found opened terrorizing the entire population today. As a result nothing could move in Nepal including the school buses that the current government has given the status of ambulances yesterday.

Some criminals have sprinkled gasoline on a public service vehicle at Maitidevi in Kathmandu and set fire on it today and then run away from the scene. Similarly, some criminals have burnt down some vehicles in Chitwan, too. None of these guys has followed even the simplest law of a peaceful protest rather has chosen the criminal acts of forcible closing everything possible.

However, the police have arrested two criminals from Kotesvore in Kathmandu suspected in burning down vehicles. So-called leaders of the political parties unleash criminals to commit any sorts of crimes to enforce the shutdown they have called for.

Nepalis have been against such criminal acts performed in the name of the peaceful protest against anything the so-called political leaders don’t like and in the name of achieving their demands. Some Nepalis have staged a motorcycle run in Kathmandu. Soon, the day will come when they will take the law in their hands to finish off those criminals acting against not only the law but also the will of the people.
