Government For Full Budget Despite Opposition

November 19, 2012: Receiving a memorandum presented by Revolutionary Journalists' Association central working committee today, the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai said, "If somebody is thinking of meeting one's petty interests by troubling the government after stopping the budget then that is a totally wrong idea and such practice will not benefit people in any way. The government will unveil the budget in view of national needs. Preparations to this end are underway. The irresponsible act of the opponents is totally against the national interests," according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com
Politicizing the budget is a dreadful thing, the opposition leaders have done; the opposition parties have done nothing except for taking over power, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister further said that there was no truth in the news about the President has given a deadline of November 22 for political parties to build a consensus rather the President said that he would take not any step without the political consensus, according to the RSS news.
Speaking at Banepa Town Convention of the UCPN-Maoist at Banepa today, Deputy Prime Minister holding the portfolio of Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha said that if President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav were to put the budget on hold; it would certainly be unconstitutional, according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com.
