In Birgunj, on November 16, 2008, in course of leading a campaign for creating awareness against the so-called authoritarian administration of the Maoists, Former Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Girija Prasad Koirala said that the Maoist’s government would fall as a ripe mango by its own weight.
He also said that the democracy in Nepal has been facing challenges from various quarters particularly from the Maoists’ camp; so, the need for launching a campaign for creating awareness of such thing happening in Nepal.
He appealed to all democrats and media persons for supporting the campaign.
Whenever he lost the power to somebody he used such a campaign to regain the power. He did easily regain the power lost to Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and then to Sher Bahadur Deuba but this time he lost power to Prachanda; so, it might not be so easy for him to regain the power.
