Arresting CPN-Maoist Cadres For Anti-election Activities

October 27, 2013: Police arrested three CPN-Maoist cadres for their alleged involvement in anti-election activities in different parts of the district yesterday, according to the RSS news posted on ‘gorkhaaptraonline.com’. 

 

The police arrested Parshu Ram Pokharel, a district leader of CPN-Maoist in Katari, Tribeni-9 while he was provoking the public to boycott voting and was distributing anti-election pamphlets, said DSP Kishan Singh Thapa, In-charge of the Area Police Office Katari.

 

The police also arrested two other district-level leaders such as Min Prasad Pokharel and Babu Ram Subedi at the Boltar bazaar in the constituency no. 1 while they were disrupting the election campaign of the UCPN-Maoist. Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda was scheduled to address the election rally there, said Dhundi Raj Neupane, Inspector at the Boltar Area Police Office.
