Crafting Constitution And Economic Development Agenda

September 2, 2013: speaking at the 27th annual general meeting (AGM) of Lamjung Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Besishahar yesterday, President of Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Suraj Vaidya has said that crafting of a new constitution and economic development agenda need to go together, as political and economic agenda cannot be separated according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

"If we sit idle saying that we will start economic development only after completing the political one, the country would be pushed towards further trouble; the political parties should have common minimum agreement on the economic issues and economic development of the country, the news quoted Vaidhya as saying”

 

President of FNCCI Vaidhya said that his organization prepared a 16 page long report on the economic situation and development of the country, and it had already started lobbying the political parties for the proper implementation of the concept.

 

"Almost all the people want peace, constitution and economic development as soon as possible; for this timely election is essential," he said.

 

He has his apprehension about the mass of Nepalese youths has doubted the ability to build a new nation.

 

President Vaidhya also said that the FNCCI was committed to the development of the country; so, it would extend its support for anybody in power.
