Supreme Court Punishes Former Secretary Dr Sudha Sharma

December 25, 2013: the Supreme Court of Nepal has ruled to punish former Secretary to Ministry of Health Dr Sudha Sharma with the fine of Rs 5,000 for the contempt of the court caused by not following the order of the court to publish the results of the interview taken 21 years ago, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
Hearing on the case filed by one of the interviewees Yagyadev Bhatta, the Supreme Court had ordered the Secretary to publish the results of the interview twice but the Secretary failed in publishing the results. So, interviewee Bhatta again appealed the Supreme Court, consequently, the Secretary was punished for not publishing the result.
