Diffusing Bombs, And Holding Elections On November 19

November 20, 2013: The Nepal Army (NA) personnel yesterday arrested two CPN-Maoist cadres while they were setting wires for detonating bomb at the Jana Kalyan Lower Secondary School polling booth at Talegaon in Constituency No. 2 of the Jajarkot district. A patrolling team of NA soldiers apprehended Surendra Singh and Arjun Singh of Talegaon-7, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Chakrapani Pandey, according to the RSS news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’
An eight-year-old boy was injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off at Bhotebahal yesterday. The IED set by an unidentified group on the road between Teku and Bhotebahal exploded when a boy unknowingly played with it. The victim is Samir Khadgi and he is undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital, according to a Spokesperson for Nepal Police, Superintendent of Police Ganesh KC. Police is searching for the perpetrators of the crime.
Meanwhile, police have arrested 56 people from different places in the country including Chitwan, Dang and Dailekeh on the charge of their involvement in anti-election and terrorist activities, said Spokesperson KC, according to the RSS news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
A bomb disposal team of the Nepal Army (NA) defused a bomb found at Bardibas in Mahottari district yesterday morning. The pipe bomb was found behind the Janasewa Hospital at Bardibas VDC-1, said Police Inspector Ashok Jha. Deputy Superintendent of Police Tulsi Adhikari said that there was no impact on the people going to voting even if bombs were found in Bardibas, as a large number of security personnel have been deployed for the security of voters. Adhikati said that people are casting votes at all the polling booths in the district in a peaceful manner and there was no any terror of bombs among locals, the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’ says.
