Chairman Of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda Visiting China

April 15, 2013: Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has left Kathmandu for Chengdu: the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China yesterday morning for a seven-day visit to China. His spouse, and Chairman Prachanda accompanied by some officials took the Air China flight.
Speaking to the reporters at the international airport in Kathmandu before departure, Chairman Prachanda said that we needed to break the tradition of playing one neighbor off against another but we needed to work together to benefit from the fast economic development of both the neighbors.
Chairman Prachanda is visiting China at the invitation of the Chinese president. He is going to meet with the Chinese dignitaries including the president, and prime minister of china.
Chairman Prachanda said that he would visit India after the China visit. He said that he would focus on the economic development in the talks with the leaders of both the countries.
China and India inviting Chairman Prachanda to visit their respective country in turn have demonstrated that Chairman Prachanda is surely the man of power to count on in Nepal.
