SAARC Surgeons Conference in Nepal From November 28 to 30

November 28, 2013: surgeons from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region are holding a conference for the first time in Kathmandu, Nepal from November 28 to 30, 2013. The main objective of the conference is to promote the regional cooperation for the promotion of surgical science in the SAARC region, according to the RSS news on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

 

Speaking at a news conference held in Kathmandu on November 26, 2013, General Secretary to the Society of Surgeons of Nepal Prof Dr Rameshwar Pokhrel said that the conference aimed at discussing and providing information on surgical education, code of conduct, the new knowledge and technology in this sector.

 

Three hundred surgeons including renowned and senior surgeons from SAARC countries including Nepal are participating in the conference. Twenty guest speakers will make presentations in the conference, which will see the presentation of more than 70 research papers.
