Opposition Lawmakers Demand Resignation Of prime Minister

Issue 05, January 29, 2012

By KTM Metro reporter

January 28, 2012: opposition lawmakers belonging to the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party and Janashakti Party have demanded the resignation of the prime minister for his statement ‘Nepal could disappear into one of the two countries if it could not play the role of a bridge between China and India,’ ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes.

Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has neither bothered to explain why he has said so nor to refute the charge the opposition lawmakers have made.

Lawmakers have rightly demanded the prime minister to come to the House and explain why he has said so; why he has seen that the existence of Nepal would be lost if it could not play the role of a bridge between the two large countries.

Certainly, if the prime minister could not see how to maintain the independent of the country he has no right to remain in the office rather he has lost the legitimacy to remain in the office.
