Prime Minister Meets UNMIN Chief

On January 1, 2010, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has met with UNMIN Chief Karin Landgren at his official residence at Baluwatar in Kathmandu. Miss Landgren has met with the Prime Minister in preparation for reporting on the progress in the peace process in Nepal to the UN Security Council meeting to be held in the second week of January 2010.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that the UNMIN has not been impartial and has expressed his concern over the performances of the UNMIN.
Miss Landgren has said that the UNMIN has been performing its duty following the mandate and urged the Prime Minister to let the UNMIN work without obstructions and hindrances.
