By KTM Metro Reporter

July 5, 2013: coordinator of the four-party mechanism Bijaya Gacchedar went to see President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at his office yesterday afternoon. During the meeting President Yadav urged the coordinator Gacchedar to create an environment conducive to the dissident political party participating in the elections, according to the news ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Speaking to the reporters after the meeting with the president, coordinator Gacchedar said that he briefed the president on the recent political situation in the country, and the four-party political mechanism made efforts on engaging the dissident political parties in the elections to be held on November 19, 2013.

Coordinator Gacchedar said that the four parties were ready to make any sorts of sacrifices if the dissident political parties were to participate in the elections. He also said that the date for the elections has been set, no postponement of the elections, and no changes in the 25-point Removal of Constitutional Hurdles Ordinance would be made.

Gacchedar has been a coordinator of the four-party political mechanism in turn. The four political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC, CPN-UML and UDMF have set up a fur-party political mechanism, and also have agreed on each leader of the four parties presiding over it in turn.
