Nepalese Prime Minister’s India Visit

Issue 37, September 14, 2008

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

Prime Minister Prachanda is going to India for a three-day-State visit on September 14, 2008 at the invitation of the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Man Mohan Singh. The Prime Minster has a program on meeting with the President and Vice-president of India separately. The Indian Prime Minister would hold a State banquet in honor of the visiting Nepalese Prime Minister.

We believe that the Nepalese Prime Minister’s visit to India is a good will visit for familiarizing with each other, as the government has not published any agenda on the matters to be discussed with the Indian counterpart and leaders. However, the Prime Minister is taking with him the Foreign Minister, Minister for Information and Communication, Minister for Water Resources and Minister for Commerce and Supplies and a large number of members of business community and reporters indicating that the Nepalese team would have some sorts of business dialogues with the Indian counterparts.
