President Yadav And Prachanda Set To Visit China

October 18, 2010: at the invitation of the Chinese authorities, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda are set to visit China to attend the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Expo. The Chinese authorities have invited the President as the head of state of a friendly neighboring country and to Prachanda: one of the two-hundred-world leaders invited to the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Expo.
President Yadav is leaving Kathmandu for Shanghai on October 26, and Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda on October 22. This will be the first official visit of President Yadav to China after he assumed the office more than two years ago. Chairman Prachanda has made several visits to China as the Prime Minister and the Chairman of UCPN-Maoist.
President Yadav will limit his visit to the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Expo but Chairman Prachanda will meet with several Chinese state and party officials during his stay in China.
