Nepal Needs No Prime Minister

Issue 49, December 05, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 30, 2010: speaking to the reporters on November 29, 2010, officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that his presence is not necessary to break the current political deadlock, the state-run newspaper ‘The Rising Nepal’ writes.

If Madhav Nepal thinks that his presence as a Prime Minster is not necessary to resolve the political crisis and to call the House session then Nepal as a country certainly does not need a Prime Minister particularly he that hops from one country to another rather than calling the urgently needed House session. So, Nepalis should stop him from going to a foreign trip as a Prime Minster of Nepal and stop him from taking the salaries and other remuneration, too. He is shameless guy that can do anything just for a few rupees.

He is making a long foreign trip not the value of anything to the country leaving behind the most important issues. The House Speaker has asked all the top political leaders coming closer to a consensus on political matters rather than making foreign trips to resolve the current political crisis in Nepal, and asked the government to call the House session immediately to resolve the political matters at the parliament.

President Ram Baran Yadav has not been happy with Prime Minister Madhav Nepal going to the foreign trips rather than staying in the country for resolving the political issues, nepalnews.com writes quoting the ‘Annapurna Post’ daily. However, Mr. President has forgotten that the current political crisis is of his doings not only once but twice: the last one is discontinuing the parliamentary session for introducing the budget for the fiscal year 2010 by his order disregarding the democratic norms and values and straining the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007.
