Kaligandaki Corridor Track Opened

KTM Reporter

September 8, 2017

Kathmandu: Nepal Army has opened up the Kaligandaki Corridor Track that links Korala to the north in China, and Sunauli to the South in India practically being a bridge between the two Asian giants, and will be useable soon, the news in the ‘artha-bazaar’ of “gorkhapatra” today stated.

This corridor was first conceived 35 years ago, and a foundation stone was laid 17 years ago but the Nepal Army had received the assignment of opening this track in April 2013 only, the news stated.

This corridor will ease the Hindu pilgrims from the south to visit Muktinath in Mustang in the north, and some other deities on the way, and the Buddhist pilgrims from the north to visit Lumbini in the South.

Both China and India could use this corridor for trade and transport. This corridor brings both the Asian giants closer to each other for the economic prosperity and social interactions, and Nepal will immensely benefit from this corridor.
