Prachanda Presents A Paper At Plenum And Meets With The Security Council Group

November 24, 2010: presenting his paper at the sixth plenum on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has stressed the need for completing the peace process and constitution writing and said, "People’s revolt will be inevitable if the reactionaries obstruct us to complete these processes and for that possibility we should make some sort of preparation. Our party has primary contradistinction with domestic reactionaries combined with Indian expansionist rulers. Therefore we have to struggle against both of them for the sake of people and national sovereignty," ‘The Rising Nepal’ of November 24, 2010 writes.
After the completion of the meeting for today, Maoist Standing Committee Member Netra Bikram Chanda ‘Biplov’ has said that Chairman Prachanda has included some new things in his paper and the presentation he has made is well balanced according to ‘The Rising Nepal’.
The Security Council Working Group On Children And Armed Conflict (SCWG CAAC) led by its Chairman, Ambassador Claude Heller of Mexico has met with the UCPN-Maoist delegation led by Chairman Prachanda at Palungatar in the Gorkha District on Tuesday, November 23, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of November 24, 2010 writes. "We discussed about the state of peace process, army integration and management of the discharged PLA fighters," Chief of Maoist Foreign Affairs Department Krishna Bahadur Mahara said after the meeting. He has also said that Chairman Prachanda has repeated the commitment made to complete the peace process and move ahead with past agreements on the army integration and resolve all the differences through a package deal with the other parties, ‘The Rising Nepal’ states.
"The Security Council Working Group On Children And Armed Conflict has made this trip to Nepal in order to assess the progress made on the protection of children affected by armed conflict," Heller said. "We came here, specifically to assess the reintegration program of children that have been released by the Maoist army and also to assess the full implementation of the action plan that was signed in December 2009. We had very useful and productive talks with the Maoist party leaders on this specific issue," Heller added, ‘The Rising Nepal writes’.
