Major Parties Only For State Power
By KTM Metro Reporter
January 7, 2014: speaking at the interaction program held by the Rafat Sanchar Club in Bhaktapur yesterday, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP–Nepal) Kamal Thapa has alleged the major political parties of delaying the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting creating unnecessarily debate on the issue of summoning the meeting, according to the RSS news on ‘gprkhapatraonline.com’.
Chairman Thapa said the matter of summoning the CA meeting should not be dragged; either the President or the Chairman of Council of Ministers could call it; what a big deal in it?
He also said that the election to a new President should be held. Labeling the NC, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist as 'totalitarians', the RPP-Nepal Chairman charged them of capturing the state power with the help of political syndicate. "They want to exercise the state power as per their own interests even after the second CA election," he claimed.
There is no need for the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) after the November CA elections, he said, adding the three parties again formed an unconstitutional forum for enjoying the state power giving continuity to the HLPC. The RPP-Nepal is committed to democracy along with the constitutional monarchy and Sanatan Hindu state and will never give up its agendas. However, their forms and size can be discussed, he added.
