National Government Says Prachanda
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
On arrival at the International airport in Kathmandu on November 18, 2009, speaking to the reporters, Chairman of United Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (UCPN-Maoist) Prachanda has said that a national government will replace the current government. As usual, he has not been tired of trumpeting to form a new government. He had met with the ailing Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala in Singapore, and has had talks with him for breaking the current political deadlock in Nepal.
Prachanda has said that Koirala agreed on following a middle path to resolve the president’s move on directly writing a letter to the Chief of Army Staff causing the current political deadlock; however, Girijababu has not made it clear on the middle path.
He has also said that the current political deadlock would not be broken before the deadline set by his party for November 20, as Girijababu is returning from Singapore only on Sunday, November 22 after the medical treatment.
