By KTM Metro Reporter

June 10, 2011: speaking at the press conference held at his office yesterday, Minister for Law and Justice Prabhu Shah has bitterly complained about the recommendation made by his boss Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal for an appointment to the Judicial council without even consulting him, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Minister Shah has blamed Prime Minister Khanal for not keeping the spirit of the coalition government and making a unilateral decision on the recommendation for the appointment to the judicial council. Mr. Khanal has made recommendation for the appointment of the CPN-UML activist Khem Narayan Dhungana to the vacant position at the judicial council.

Mr. Shah believes that Mr. Khanal making the recommendation without consulting him is the interference in his job. He has also charged Mr. Khanal with violating the procedure of recommending the appointment to the judicial council as Mr. Khanal has made the recommendation for the appointment of his own man whereas Nepal Bar Association has recommended the name of advocate Upendra Keshari Neupane for the vacant position at the judicial council.

Mr. Shah has also charged the prime minister with trying to make the judicial council as the recruitment center for the CPN-UML supporters disregarding the need for appointing the competent and independent people to the council.
