By KTM Metro Reporter

July 7, 2011: a single bench of the justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal Prem Sharma has issued an order in the name of the Government of Nepal and the Main Police headquarters for not allowing Kubersing Rana to work as AIG until July 11, 2011 because of his involvement in the serious human rights violence, ‘Gorkhapatra’ of July 6, writes.

On June 22, 2011, the government has promoted Rana to AIG after the then AIG Arjunjung Shahi got suspended from the office for his involvement in the case of purchasing sub-standard armored vehicles and materials required for the Nepalese UN Peace-keeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

Mr. Rana has been implicated in the killing of five students picnicking in the Dhanusha district. So, the human rights activists have filed a case at the Supreme Court of Nepal demanding to stop Mr. Rana from working as AIG because he might destroy any evidences of his involvement in the murder of five innocent people.
