No Twice Arrest Of A Man In the Same Case

June 21, 2011: hearing on the writ-petition of habeas corpus filed by Batala’s wife Sunita Gautam, the bench of justices of the Supreme Court of Nepal Tahir Ali Ansari and Sushila Karki yesterday has ordered the Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, to release Govinda Bahadur Batala, a brigade commander of Maoist People’s Liberation Army that has been arrested again for the abduction of Ram Hari Shrestha, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
According to the news report, Batala has completed a three-year jail term given for his involvement in the death of Ram Hari Shrestha. However, the police have arrested him two weeks ago while walking out of the jail for his involvement in the abduction of the same man.
