Prime Minister Baburam Bhattari Leaving Kathmandu For India Today

October 20, 2011: Chief of protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Muktinath Bhatt has said that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is flying to New Delhi at 12:15 today for a four-day India visit; while talking with the Indian authorities, the prime minister will focus on the peace process and a new constitution writing, and other bilateral issues, ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes.

His spouse Hisila Yami, his deputy Narayankaji Shrestha, a representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a member of the parliament, and a high official will accompany Prime Minister Bhattarai.

Spokesman for the government Narayankaji Shrestha has said that the cabinet meeting held yesterday has approved the prime minister’s official visit to India and the officials to be included in this visit; the entourage will be of 37 members including the members of the business community and the reporters; members of the business community and the reporters are accompanying the prime minister at their own cost.

Quoting its New Delhi reporter ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes that Indian authorities have finalized the program on welcoming Nepalese Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai. According to the program, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will welcome Dr. Bhattarai at the Hyderabad House on Friday, October 21; then they will sign off a few agreements. The agreements will be on the loan the India government will provide the Nepal government, and on removing the dual taxes; on energy and trade has not be known, yet. On the Friday evening, Dr. Singh will host a state banquet at the Hyderabad House in honor of Dr. Bhattarai.
