By KTM Metro Reporter

April 26, 2013: the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today reports that a crowd of 2,500 climbers and their assistants has been at the Everest base camp. The government has given permission of climbing various mountains to 29 climbing teams this year.

Out of the 29 teams, 12 teams will climb Lhotse Mountain, and two teams Nuptse Mountain; the remaining teams will climb the Everest, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.

About 2,500 people including the climbers and their assistants have reached the Everest base in preparation for climbing the mountains. Climbers have been going back and forth between the base camp and the camp-II due to the bad weather. The going up and down is for acclimatizing the bodies of the climbers.

After the improvement in the weather, they would start building path from the camp-II to above for climbing the Everest.
