Protest Against Income Gap In USA
By KTM Metro Reporter
October 11, 2011: the protest Against income disparities has spread to major cities in USA. Boston has one of its biggest rallies. Hundreds of protesters including many college students marched in support of the Occupy Boston movement against the Wall Street bailout and other income issues.
The protest has been against the income gap between the rich and the poor. They also have protested against the Wall Street bailout in 2008, which they believe it has benefited banks not the Americans in general, as common folks have suffered from high unemployment and job insecurity
Unlike in the Middle East, the protests in the USA have been mainly peaceful. Protestors have followed the ethics of a peaceful protest while the police have honored the rights of the people to protest peacefully. The presence of police has been mainly for maintaining the law and order in case something goes wrong.
