Legislature Passed Interim Budget For Four Month Of FY 2010

July 12, 2010: Following the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007, the officiating Finance Minister of caretaker government has presented the interim budget of 110 billion rupees ($1.49 billion) for the fiscal year 2010 in the legislature that has quickly passed it today, as the leaders of the three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML had agreed on such an interim budget. This budget is for running the state administration for the first four months of the new fiscal year 2010 that starts off on July 16, 2010. A new government to be formed will present a full-fledged budget with polices and program for a year again in the coming days.
