By KTM Metro Reporter

July 29, 2011: Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has had talks with Prime Minster Jhalanath Khanal at the official residence of the prime minister; Prachanda has asked Khanal to induct the 24 UCPN-Maoist members into the cabinet but Khanal has asked Prachanda to wait until an appropriate time arises, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

The Standing Committee meeting of CPN-UML held yesterday has confirmed its previous decision on not changing the current cabinet but on intensifying the initiatives for building national consensus on a new government.

The CPN-UML has taken the position that neither the prime minister will quit the office nor he will change the current government.

The UCPN-Maoist leaders have been putting pressure on Prime Minister Khanal to administer the oath and secrecy of their new ministers but the NC and CPN-UML leaders have been resisting it so far.
