The second general convention of the Madheshi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) was concluded electing its president and turning over all power to the leader for appointing other officials in Birgunj on Tuesday night, January 20, 2009.

This system of running political parties has made the leaders of such parties’ dictatorial and other members to follow the whims of their leaders. For example, Girija Prasad Koirala of the Nepali Congress has been dictatorial and even declared himself the leader of his parliamentary party.
