On March 02, 2009, Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai told the members of the donor community in Kathmandu in a meeting attended by representatives of donors including World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Department For International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom, IMF, DANIDA, India, China and Finland and held in preparation for the meeting of Nepal Development Forum (NDF) that the agenda of the Government of Nepal for the NDF meeting to be held on March 12-14, 2009 would be the peace, democracy and development.
On March 2, 2009, Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal administered the oath of office to the newly elected officer bearers in the conspicuous absence of the rival leaders such as Madhav Kumar Nepal and KP Oli. Mr. Oli lost the election for the Chairman of CPN-UML to Mr. Khanal in Butwal.
