By KTM Metro Reporter

October 25, 2011: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has informed the House about his India visit and the agreements signed during the visit yesterday. The prime minister has defended the BIPPA that has been the main target for the opposition in his own party and in the CPN-UML to hit him hard. As anticipated, the leaders of NC have abstained from criticizing the prime minister rather have indirectly claimed the credit for the BIPPA.

The prime minister also has informed about other talks he has had with the Indian authorities and what are expected from the Indians and what he has given to them.

The House is opened to discuss the BIPPA and other agreements signed in New Delhi during the prime minister’s visit.

Speaking in the House, some lawmakers have responded the BIPPA positively while a few of them negatively. In view of what and how they have expressed their views in the House, the opponents of BIPPA have been criticizing the BIPPA without any strong arguments. They have been doing so for the sake of opposing what the prime minister has done in India.
