Monetary Policy of Nepal Government

On July 25, 2009, the state-run Radio Nepal has aired the news that the Central Bank of Nepal called Nepal Rastra Bank has released a new monetary policy allowing Nepalese commercial banks to open their branches in foreign countries.
In the budget speech of the Finance Minister for the fiscal year 2009 delivered on July 13, 2009 has stated that the Government of Nepal will adopt the policy on permitting private companies registered in Nepal to invest in foreign countries.
