Regular House Session Starts On Jan 09
By KRM Metro Reporter
December 27, 2010: under the heavy pressure of the UCPN-Maoist, officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has finally recommended the president to call the regular session of House on January 09, 2011. The Maoist leaders have not been in a mood to talk to anyone of the NC and CPN-UML leaders until they call the House session as they have promised in the tripartite meeting before calling off the motions the UCPN-Maoist leaders have registered at the secretariat of the parliament ending the special House session.
The House will decide the fate of the NC candidate Ram Chandra Poudel for a new prime minister whether he will be a next prime minister this time or not. Believers in astrology will check whether the positions of the planets are right for Poudel or not. Believers in the words of leaders of the UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML will surely say that Poudel will either pullout of the candidacy or will be voted out. No matter what the positions of the planets will be at the time of House session, Poudel is bound to fail in winning the prime ministerial office.
If the NC leaders have an iota of ethic and sincerity, Ram Chandra Poudel will withdraw his candidacy for the office of prime minister and pave the way for a new process of an election to a prime minister. In this case, Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal might have a chance of getting the office of prime minister, as the UCPN-Maoist legislators have been ready to vote for him but the main obstacle to Mr. Khanal has been officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal that has been saying if you don’t let me continue the office of prime minister why should I allow you to be a prime minister.
The consensus politics has been dead after the UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML amended the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 for making the provision for the majority rule. The highly skilled players in the majority rule, NC and CPN-UML leaders will continue to hook up on the power at any cost to the nation and the people. So, it will not be surprise that they will play the politics so dirty that Nepalis have to rise against them and drive them out of power once and for all.
On November 20, 2010, officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has tricked the naïve president to stop the regular House session and then pass the budget for the fiscal year 2010 by the residential order. Thus, the so-called democratic political leaders have tricked the president repeatedly for over stepping on the democratic values and norms. Thereafter, Madhav Nepal has been holding the call of a House session hostage for the consensus politics that has been next to impossible in the current political situation. Thus, Madhav Nepal has been successful to extend his stay in office for few more months to grab and steal as much as possible from the state treasury before he is forced to leave the office of prime minister.
