Constitution On Schedule Possible

Issue 13, March 27, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

March 26, 2011: speaking at an inaugural function of a two-day training to be held for the zonal liaison committee and district liaison committee members of CPN-UML in Bhaktapur on March 25, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that his government will conclude the peace process and the constitution writing within fifty days, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today reports. He has also made it clear that the seven-point deal with the UCPN-Maoist is for leftist polarization; it is for completing the national tasks political parties have to finish.

He has said that he is bringing in the NC and other parties in his government to make it a national unity government and all parties need to join the government to complete the nation’s mission to complete. He has also said that the nation needs to move ahead with a unity, without which political parties will not succeed to address the nation’s mission, so they have no alternative to building a consensus.

Mr. Khanal has been saying all these things since the coalition of UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML have elected him a new prime minister on February 03, 2011 but he has not been able to do anything so far even to give a final shape to his cabinet.

His deputy Bharat Mohan Adhikari has said that if Khanal government collapses his rival KP Oli of his party will form a next government. If Madhav Nepal defeated in two constituencies can be a Prime Minister why not Oli defeated only in one constituency. Pull Mr. Khanal down and make Mr. Oli another Prime Minister.
