President’s Return From India Visit

On February 18, 2010, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav came back home from the India visit. He received 21-gun salute at the International airport in Kathmandu. Vice President Parmananda Jha, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, ministers and high-level government officials were at the airport to receive the President.

Speaking to the reporters at the airport, the President has said that his visit to India is for peace and democracy and for strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations, and is highly successful to this end. He has said that he has assured the Indian leaders of promulgating the new constitution by May 28, 2010 in Nepal.
