Even Bijukchhe Joined Opposition Bandwagon

Issue 29, July 15, 2012

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 9, 2012: even Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) Narayan Man Bijukchhe: the most respectable senior politician believed to be the most politically sane politician has joined the opposition bandwagon for calling the head of state to take over. Mr. Bijukchhe as a senior politician needs to quote the Article of the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 for suggesting the head of state to take over otherwise he would be one of the insane opposition politicians that have been mad at the prime minister for not quitting the office.

“In order to hammer out the complex web of issues ranging from (the) budget fiasco to (the) formation of (a) national consensus government, what to do about the dissolved Constituent Assembly and the drafting of the new constitution, (the) President must take power in his hand,” said Bijukchhe talking to a Kathmandu-based FM station on Monday morning; at a time when the country is devoid of a parliament, no other alternatives to the political consensus seem to have, Bijukchhe demanded the President’s rule, writes ‘The Himalayan Times’ today.

Yesterday, Bijukchhe had correctly suggested Prime Minster Dr Baburam Bhattarai to consult with all the parties before submitting the full budget for the FY 2012 but his suggestion to the head of state to take over is totally wrong and goes against all democratic norms and values. However, Bijukchhe is one of the communists that have no faith in the universally accepted norms and values of democracy. As any other communists Bijukchhe wants the dictatorial rule, so, his suggestion to the head of state to be a dictatorial.

Bijukchhe would have been well off and become an honorable politician by suggesting the head of state to follow the constitution and protect it if anybody attempts on overstepping it. Unfortunately, Bijukchhe could not think of such things and wants to lead the president to be a dictatorial.
