Impunity getting institutionalized in Nepal

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in the report made public on the occasion of the 59th International Human Rights Day on Monday, December 10 said, "The recommendations of constitutional bodies are not implemented and the parties involved in human rights violation and criminal activity have not been brought o justice" giving the continuity to the perpetrators of human rights violation go free with impunity according to the news posted on ekantipur.com on December 11, 2007. The report stated that the government hasn't adopted the Rome Statute to try perpetrators of human rights violation yet despite the consent of the Interim Legislature-Parliament.
