By KTM Metro Reporter
January 5, 2014: speaking at the event held by the Buddhanagar Youth Committee in Kathmandu yesterday, General Secretary of NC, Prakash Man Singh said that the international practice was the president to call the Constituent Assembly session; so the president would call the first CA session, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’
General Secretary Singh said that the high-level political committee would recommend it. "The government despite accomplishing major responsibility of holding CA election, it can't create dispute at the last moment," he said, reminding that the first meeting of the last CA was called by the then-Prime-Minister Girija Prasad Koirala also wearing the hat of the head of the State at that time. So, it’s the rule that President should call the CA meet, he argued.
