Supreme Court’s Order To Government

November 26, 2012: hearing on the petition filed by Purni Maya: wife of the victim on November 23, 2012, a single bench of Justice Baijanath Upadhyay of the Supreme Court of Nepal has ruled to issue an order to the government not to enforce its decision on putting on hold the charge on the Maoists' leaders such as Agni Prasad Sapkota and Surya Man Dong of murdering Arjun Lama from Dapcha of Kavre district, according to the state-run news agency RSS/thehimalayantimes.com

On July 27, 2012, the Council of Ministers decided not to enforce the action on the first information report (FIR) filed at the District Police Office, Kavre against Maoists’ leaders such as Sapkota and Dong for their involvement in the Lama's murder breaching order of the Supreme Court of Nepal concerning the case issued on March 10, 2008. 

Currently the spokesman for the UCPN-Maoist Agni Prasad Sapkota and his associate Dong have been accused of their involvement in the murder of Arjun Lama at Charkilla of Budhakhani VDC, Kavre in July 2005, three months after he was abducted from a school program at Chhatrebajh of the Kavre district.
