Bijaya Gacchedar Visits New Delhi

June 10, 2010: Deputy Prime Minister holding the portfolio of Physical Planning and Works Bijaya Gacchedar has left Kathmandu for New Delhi, India on Wednesday morning, June 09, 2010 ostensibly for the medical treatment of his eyes. Gacchedar took a Jet Airways flight at 9.30 AM.

Talking to the reporters at the International Airport in Kathmandu before his departure to New Delhi, Gacchedar has said that the political parties have miserably failed in reaching the consensus politics due to the differences in sharing power and positions and blamed the largest three parties for the current political deadlock in the country.

Gacchedar is the chairman of Madheshi People’s Forum-Democratic that has been supporting the current virtually impotent government for personal benefits of its members. He has been claiming for the position of Prime Minister of the next government. However, he cannot make it, as his party has no such leverage.
