July 27, 2013: the Kailali District Administration Office stopped former king Gyanendra Shah from distributing relief materials to the victims of the recent floods in the district yesterday; Shah was in Kailali to distribute relief materials to the flood victims provided by the Himani Trust: an NGO set up by his daughter-in-law also former princess Himani Shah, according to nepalnews.com.

The district administration said that the election code of conduct recently introduced by the election Commission did not permit Mr. Shah to distribute the relief materials.
