Another NOC Official In Custody Of CIAA

September 28, 2013: the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has detained one more official of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on charge of negatively influencing the CIAA’s investigations into the NOC management for paying bonus ignoring the instructions of the CIAA and the board of directors of NOC not to do so when NOC has been making billions of rupees worth of loss, according to the news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

Senior Assistant of NOC also the leader of the NOC trade union Devi Prasad Neupane was taken into custody on Friday afternoon for the provocative statement he made against the investigation the CIAA launched into the abuse of the authority. In a statement, the CIAA said that Neupane was arrested for his comments made on TV adversely affecting the investigation into the case.

 

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, the CIAA had arrested four top NOC officials such as Acting Managing Director Suresh Kumar Agrawal, Director Nagendra Sah and Managers Kamal Prasad Sharma and Netra Prasad Kafle for abusing the authority.
