Story Of Nepali Choir
By KTM Metro Reporter
May 17, 2011: online ‘HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE’ has reported on May 10 that the 10-member choir has returned home on May 5 after successfully performing in the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival.
Concerning the disappearance of the Nepalese choir from the London Heathrow Airport publicized by the British and Nepalese media, one of the members of the choir has said that the members of the choir had waited for the festival organizers at the terminal number 3 for pickup but they did not show up as they had gone to terminal number 1.
Then, the members of the choir contacted a Nepali at Central London and lived with him until they could successfully contact the festival organizers. They made several calls to the festival organizers but their efforts have gone astray until April 27. Then, the organizers picked them up and reached the destination at midnight.
Annoyed by the rumor of absconding, and the musical instruments finding the cold climate not suitable for correct working, the Nepalese choir cut their performances short and returned back home.
