Unhealthy Power Struggle In UCPN-Maoist

July 14, 2011: an unhealthy power struggle is going on in the UCPN-Maoist leadership. A group not willing to see the completion of the peace process and the constitution writing has been active to topple the current leadership and to set up a new leadership. Consequently, the meeting of the central committee has been postponed yesterday, too.
Despite the fact that the central committee has already agreed on projecting Dr. Baburam Bhattarai as a next prime minister, a group has been engaged in collecting the signature of the members of the legislature parliament to change the Parliamentary Party leader, Janardam Sharma of UCPN-Maoist speaking to the anchor of the ‘Radio Nepal’ in the morning today has told.
Dr. Bhattarai must have sold to a regressive force because he has recently told the people in his home district Gorkha that Nepalis should not forget the contributions made to the country. This is certainly the language of the regressive force.
